In autumn:

Experience autumn in Sweden and enjoy comfortable temperatures and lovely long evenings. Discover the gorgeous unspoilt nature of Sillebotten and Glaskogen with the beautiful autumn colours of the far stretching forests amidst the hidden lakes of South Varmland. From both the cottage and the patio you will see the iridescence of the autumn light reflecting on the lake and the rocks. On the opposite side of the lake, the yellow and red colours of the birch trees form a colourful spectacle against the backdrop of the evergreen pine trees.

Colors in autumn

From both the cottage and the patio you will see the iridescence of the autumn light reflecting on the lake and the rocks. On the opposite side of the lake, the yellow and red colours of the birch trees form a colourful spectacle against the backdrop of the evergreen pine trees. The small islands of Lake Östra Sillen too change from green to red and yellow. Geese and other water birds congregate here for their annual trek to the south of Europe.

From the cottage it’s only a few steps before you have reached the forest or the lakeside. Because of its dry land climate, Sweden offers long late summers. You can enjoy comfortable temperatures and gorgeous views over a changing landscape. Of course autumn is also an excellent time to go fishing on the lake.

The forest

Of course there are also ample opportunities to go hiking, rowing, fishing or golfing, either nearby or in the Glaskogen nature reserve. After a day of enjoying everything the area has to offer, you can relax and make plans for the next day by the wood fire or in the sauna. 

As long as the snow does not fall yet, autumn in Sweden is a fantastic place to stay and to take beautiful autumn walks. Autumn in Sweden is a good time to get out into nature for canoeing, fishing, biking, hiking or looking for blueberries, mushrooms and moose.

And of course autumn in Sweden is also a good time to fish on the Ostra Silen lake or to end the day with a wonderful stay in the Swedish sauna.

Forrest fruits

In the forests behind the cottage, you can freely forage for mushrooms, brambles and blueberries. ou can enjoy comfortable temperatures and gorgeous views over a changing landscape. Of course autumn is also an excellent time to go fishing on the lake and enjoy this beautful place.......
