Experience Sweden in Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter! Discover the many things Silltal and its exquisite surroundings have to offer you all year round. The holiday home is located near the Glaskogen nature reserve, on the edge of the tranquil Lake Östra Sillen. It sits in the southwest of Varmland, on the border of Dalsland. From the cottage you have easy access to the hinterlands of Varmland and Dalsland with their widespread forests, clear rivers and stunning lakes.

Near the house:

The small town of Sillebotten has its own beach on the edge of Lake Östra Sillen. It’s known for its picturesque islands, perfect fishing spots and very clear waters. Near the cottage you’ll find:
·  A big sandy beach with a playground, swings and benches
·  Volleyball field and a bowling lawn on the beach
·  A small pebbled beach with a tiny marina for rowboats and canoes
·  Docks for guest boats, Guest marina with slipway
·  Excellent walking and cycling routes
·  A waterway connection to the Dalsland canal
·  Fishing spots from the pier and the water edge

Activities all year round....

The area surrounding Silltal is known for its mellow, rocky hills, with its wide forests and lakes. Here you cannot only enjoy the stunning views, but also the peace and quiet the land has to offer. In the cottage you’ll find an overview of things to do in the area. There’s a golf course nearby and also a tennis lane. The lake offers excellent fishing opportunities. If necessary, we’re always available to help you. In autumn you can forage for brambles and blueberries near the cottage, and in winter you can use the sleds and ice fishing gear provided. Glakogen nature reservat

The pristine Glaskogen nature reserve offers endless hiking tracks, tiny rivers, lots of lakes and vibrant wildlife. It is the perfect place for those who love the outdoors. It happens quite often that the animals of the nature reserve casually wander out onto the Silltal property. Moose, deer, foxes and beavers are all frequent visitors!
